Special birthday delivery for our NHS!
July 8th 2020 /

“Hi. What’s the biggest card you can print? I mean giant...!”

Apparently it is a good few feet tall!

So, on Sunday 5th July - the NHS’s birthday - we set out on a mission to present this wonderful card carrying our petition for a Robin Hood Tax to fund our Health Service signed by thousands of you!

Through the almost empty streets of London, in our masks, we battled forward to deliver it to the Chancellor at the Treasury. The giant birthday-card-cum-wind-breaker making this quite difficult!

We are delighted to tell you that, Robin Hood hats blowing off embarrassingly in the wind, we were given permission by some bored looking security guards to make a very special delivery.

Our birthday wish for the NHS: is long-term, sustainable funding from those who can afford it: the banks!

We are so happy we could present our petition to show all of our appreciation to our wonderful NHS staff and to highlight the need for secure tax funding for this life-supporting service.

Thanks to all the people who signed the petition for a Robin Hood Tax on banks!

Whilst we haven’t expected any announcement in this Budget, we will be pushing hard for a Robin Hood Tax to protect our public services in the next one.

Support our work to help us get the Robin Hood Tax in the Chancellor’s Autumn Budget.
